Of course it’s easy to see at a glance who is the biggest ass.

Now that we know what they look like when they put on a happy face, what do they sound like?

First there is the example of Sharon Angle, Republican candidate who is running against Harry Reid who told an interviewer that she would tell a young woman who had been raped by her father to “make lemonade out of lemons.”

Then there is the example of  Senate Health Care Committee, led by Democrats who expect us to swallow the koolaid that mandating 50 million Americans who can’t affornd health care insurance now to pay health insurance premiums to the very same Wall Street crooks who are currently ripping us off.

It’s a toss up as to which “refreshment” from either party is more difficult to swallow.

Reminds me of the time thirty years ago when Ronald Reagan declared that catsup was a vegetable.  I swear we are fast approaching the collide of two worlds:  that day where there is NO daylight between the two parties!

Democrats who reluctantly[I'm sure the poor who are affected by this action are really impressed that the Democrats did this "reluctantly"]   slashed a food stamp program to fund a state aid bill may have to do so again to pay for a top priority of first lady Michelle Obama.

The House will soon consider an $8 billion child nutrition bill that’s at the center of the first lady’s “Let’s Move” initiative. Before leaving for the summer recess, the Senate passed a smaller version of the legislation that is paid for by trimming the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, commonly known as food stamps.

The proposed cuts would come on top of a 13.6 percent food stamp reduction in the $26 billion Medicaid and education state funding bill that President Obama signed this week.

One thing is for certain, Michelle’s end childhood obesity program is bound to be a success as this act will put poor children on a starvation diet.

If the majority of Americans wake up, and I think they will, they will come out in droves in November and vote for Democrats and Independents like me who offer real solutions and not more of the same robbery of our nation by the rich.

Democrats give the American people crumbs back from the cake that the American people paid for in the first place,  but the Republicans take the entire cake.

It’s not an appealing choice, but a clear one nonetheless that Americans should make in November.  If the only choice you have is between a Democrat or a Republican, it is in  your best interests 99% of the time to vote Democrat.

If you are a working American, or a retired American who depends on Social Security, you better get to the polls in November and vote for Independents like me and Democrats.

If all registered voters go to the polls in November we will at least keep Democracy on its current life-support system against the wanton plundering by the rich.   We outnumber the rich in our nation 95 to 1.

If you are not at least in the upper 5%, you can be certain of two things:  1) you are NOT a member of their club and 2) it is highly likely that you never will be. You have much more in common with the needs of poor whites and blacks than you may realize.

WINNING IN NOVEMBER IS A NUMBERS GAME AND THE DEMOCRATS HAVE THE NUMBERS

44.8 million Republicans are registered to vote and 68.4 million Democrats are registered to vote.

Although it was not always the case, Independent today are evenly split between the two parties.

The Tea Party anarchists take about one-fourth of the Republicans and about 1/3 of Independents who once voted Republican.

The Republican expectation of taking over the House are about as likely as another Virgin birth somewhere in the world despite all the huffing and puffing and churning propaganda machines of extreme right wing multibillionaires such as the Koch brothers and their astro-turf organization called “Americans for Prosperity”.

Democrat: It depends on the Democrat.  About half of the Democratic Party are Corporate Centrist Clintonites like the Obama Administration.  A vote for these Democrats is just a tad better than voting for a Republican but a lot better than voting for a Tea Party candidate.  If you are an ordinary American who earns less than $200,000 a year and (like 85% of Americans) owns no Wall Street stock, you will get a few crumbs. There are a few Democrats running for office who are progressive populists who will fight for the change and jobs that ordinary American workers need. But the key word is “few.”

Republican: If you work for a living and earn less than $200,000 a year and vote for a Republican then you are your own worst enemy. The Republican leadership really don’t give a damn about the majority of ordinary Americans.  The Republicans, along with the corporate centrist Democrats have shipped millions of manufacturing jobs overseas where they can get cheap labor and thus increase dividends for the rich Wall Street investors.  The Republicans have two solutions:  tax cuts (which actually increase the deficit since they reduce revenue needed to pay for things like their wars and our already crumbling infrastructure).  Their solution is to rob the coffers of Social Security, unemployment insurance and Medicare.    They call these institutions “entitlements”–probably because they think that they are entitled to rob them.  Their rumor mill has several horror stories going such as the ridiculous claim that Social Security is bankrupt.  The truth is that Social Security will continue to pay 100% even if we did nothing until 2037.  After then it will pay 75%. And that’s only if our elected officials do nothing!  One thing they could do is to start taxing the full amount of income earned by people whose annual income exceeds $106,000.  That’s right.  After $106,000 those incomes are not taxed for Social Security.  How would you like to have only 1/10 of YOUR income taxed for social security?  The other solution offered by the Republicans is tort reform.  All credible economists estimate that this would impact about ½ of one percent of our economy.

Tea Party: These people are Republicans on steroids.  They are anarchists.  If they get their way, our government would be replaced by a lawless anarchy.  Their vision is no taxes except for war.  No health care, no public schools, no public institutions. I guess their idea of healthcare is that people go off into the woods to die if they can’t afford private health care insurance.  Their idea of education is home schooling with the Bible as the only textbook.  Instead of police, everyone will just pack their own heat.  They don’t want to “take back our government.”  They want to destroy it.

Independents: Once upon a time they were only conservatives.  This season, however populists like me are moving into this arena.  You will have to carefully read what a candidate who claims to be an Independent really stands for. Some of them are just more of the same Republicans and Tea Party nuts.

House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) has a golf addiction rivaled by few others.

The following commercial is airing in Boehner’s home district in Ohio on behalf of his Democratic challenger: attorney and West Point graduate Justin Coussoule.

Like I’ve said before: Democrats offer crumbs and Republicans take the whole damn cake.
NEITHER one is a great choice. It’s all a question of whether you want crumbs or absolutely nothing. When the Republican leadership say they are the party of no, they are not kidding. But you need to remember: They are saying NO to you too!

I hope that more than a few Ohio voters take note and go to the polls in November. If the Republicans gain control of the House, this absentee jackass would be the House Majority leader.

“Rounds of golf: 100 plus. Golf expenses: $83,000. Membership at all male club: $75,000. Special interest travel including golf junkets: $159,000. Raising the retirement age to 70 and voting to end unemployment benefits: priceless. For those who want an out-of-touch pro golfer for a Congressman, there’s John Boehner. For everyone else, there’s Justin Coussoule.”

We’ve all heard that old cliche again and again:  Don’t vote for an Independent because you are just throwing your vote  away.”

As long as Americans believe their propaganda about the “two-party system”, the good cop/bad cop mob that has our nation in a stranglehold will continue to be successful in protecting their own personal wealth.

There is no “two-party” system.  There is barely the slightest of difference between the two parties!  You may have noticed in 2006 when the Democrats took over Congress that there was little difference in how ordinary Americans were represented.  Congress still continued to rubber stamp Bush’s requests for unfunded military appropriations.  The Iraq war continued and they even sent 100,000 more troops over there.  The leadership of both and the majority of their elected officials in Congress represent the interests of Wall Street and its rich investors above the majority of the American people.  There is LITTLE difference between the two parties.

The Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD) began in 1987 by the Democratic and Republican   parties to establish the way that presidential election debates are run between candidates for President of the United States.  The Commission is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation as defined by Federal US tax laws, whose debates are sponsored by private contributions from foundations and corporation

THAT’S CORRECT!  The two-parties formed a corporation and kicked out the League of Women Voters a nonpartisan group who had heretofore managed the debates AND when we had REAL debates. Now, thanks to the good ole boy corporation  that BOTH parties created over 20 years ago, we hear “debates” of such heady topics as the virtues of wearing a flag pin and whether or not a candidate believes in evolution.  You will never hear REAL topics of REAL importance debated at these “debates” because they are sponsored by corporations. You will never hear discussions of Wall Street influence in politics debated.  You will never hear debates regarding the plight of the poor.  You will never hear debates about how jobs can be created.  Instead you will hear meaningless fluff.  Much ado about nothing which reached unprecedented heights  in 2008 when a CNN moderator asked the Republican candidates to hold up their hands if they believed in evolution.  I ask you:  What the hell difference does it make on whether or not you have a job as to how a candidate believes regarding evolution?  About as much difference as it does whether his is a Methodist, Baptist or Muslim.

Corporations even dictate who can and cannot debate in our national presidential debates. For example, NBC, owned by GE, the largest war contractor in the world, kicked Mike Gravel out of the presidential debates in December of 2007  because he had not raised a million dollars.  Yes that was the sole reason they gave.  Then a month or so later the Gantt Corporation, a large investment corporation who own the Iowa newspaper that was sponsoring the presidential debates in Iowa kicked Dennis Kucinich out of the presidential debates there less than 24 hours before the debates on the false grounds that there was a rule established by the news paper that all candidates had to have a permanent storefront in Iowa for their offices on or before Oct 3.  Later this rule could not be verified, but the damage was done.

IF ANY OF THE WALL STREET SHILLS RUNNING FOR OFFICE HAD A GRAM OF DECENCY AND CARING FOR DEMOCRACY, THEY WOULD HAVE NOT PARTICIPATED IN EITHER OF THOSE DEBATES AND THAT INCLUDES BARACK OBAMA AND HILLARY CLINTON.

Perhaps I should say:  That ESPECIALLY includes those two because they were looked upon as the front runners for the Democratic Party!

As long as you believe the myth that a candidate must raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to win, then these kinds of rich Wall Street crooks will have our government and our Democracy in a stranglehold.

Alvin Greene, an unknown black man in South Carolina has proved them wrong on one account:  Alvin Greene soundly thumped (58% to 42%) his opponent in the Democratic primary.  His opponent was a well-known Democrat who has served in the South Carolina State Senate.

The Democratic Party leadership of South Carolina were so shocked that someone who had barely campaigned and with a mere $10,000 could win a primary that they accused the Republicans of having a hand in it.  They investigated and found out that Alvin Greene was real and that he had committed no crime in running for office.

I hope that Alvin Greene wins–if for no other reason than to prove that an ordinary American can rise up, run for office and win.  The last thing that either party or Wall Street want is a poster child like Alvin Greene whose victory would fuel the courage of more ordinary Americans to stand up and run for office.

The mouthpieces for the Tea Party Movement such as Sarah Palin and Glen Beck are nothing more than self-serving side show bobs who are getting rich off all the hatred they are stirring up. Their propaganda mill is sponsored by the Koch brothers who are the 16th richest men in the world.  The organization that they fund for this is called “Americans for Prosperity.”

Americans for prosperity, my ass.  These people cheered when the USA lost the bid to have the Olympics in Chicago–a bid that would have created thousands of jobs and flooded billions of dollars into our economy.  They are so embittered by their hatred of Obama that they cheered this loss for America.

SHAME ON THESE BIGOTS.  SHAME ON BOTH PARTIES.

ORDINARY AMERICANS ARE GOING TO HAVE TO STAND UP AND START PARTICIPATING IN OUR DEMOCRATIC PROCESS OR WE ARE GOING TO LOSE IT TO THE RICH.

Remember when you read this that I am not pleased with the Democrats either.  Like their Republican and Tea Party pals, most of the Democrats in Congress fork over all but a few crumbs of the cake to the rich and Wall Street as well.

The Republicans and Tea Party Fanatics will take the entire cake and leave ordinary Americans with nothing.  The Democrats will take most of the cake and leave you with a few crumbs.  If you can vote a for a true progressive Independent, then vote for that candidate.  Otherwise, if you work for a living, vote for a Democrat.  At least they will leave  you with a few crumbs.

If you are rich and don’t give a damn about the majority of the people in the USA, then by all means vote these incompetents into office.

John Boehner as Speaker of the House?

Imagine John Boehner as the man who would be in charge of the House of Representative if the Republicans got the majority in the HOUSE.  Yes THAT John Boehner from Ohio, the one who lies to the public and who was on the golf course 119 days out of the 365 days for 2009.  HE would really do a great job as a leaders of the House, now wouldn’t he?  He wouldn’t even bother to show up much less provide leadership for over a third of the year.  THAT KIND OF A LAZY SELF-SERVING JACKASS IS GOING TO “TAKE OUR COUNTRY BACK?”  PLEASE DON’T MAKE ME  LAUGH.

Carly Fiorina is going to “take back our country”?

What a flipping sick joke!

• As CEO, she nearly ran Hewlett-Packard into the ground, laid off 33,000 workers and was named one of the nation’s worst CEOs by Portfolio magazine

• After being forced out, she collected a $42 million golden parachute

• Endorsed by Sarah Palin as one of her “Mama Grizzlies”    –  “Mama Grizzly my ass. Fiorina is as self-serving as Sarah Palin who didn’t even have the integrity to finish her commitment to the people of Alaska by completing her first term as governor.  She preferred to run around the country making speeches like Bill Clinton.

• Endorsed by Sen. Jim Inhofe of Oklahoma, who said Fiorina shares his goal of weakening the Environmental Protection.  Any endorsement by an idiot like Inofe should be taken as a negative.

I know, I’m an ingrate.  There are those who think I should be saying thank you thank you  thank you to the Obama Administration who have majorities in both houses for putting into effect these few crumbs for improved health care for Americans.  However, as I”ve said more than once before:  The difference between the Republicans and the Democrats is that the Republicans would take the entire cake if they had their way but the Democrats leave us with a few crumbs.  The truth is that the leadership of BOTH parties want to preserve their own personal Wall Street portfolios.  The Democrats undo the good that their health care legislation might have done  by mandating that 50 million Americans purchase health care insurance from the very Wall Street health insurance crooks who are currently robbing Americans blind.  A health care reform bill with no public option to provide real competition for these crooks is not reform.  It is more of the same with a sugar coat.  As you can see from my health care survey, the overwhelming majority prefer a single payer optiont over either the status quo or a public option.

SO HERE ARE THE HEALTH CARE CRUMBS THAT BEGIN SEPTEMBER 23–SORTA

I hope that when November rolls around that the American people remember that the greedy Republicans did not even want to give you these small crumbs.

For most people, the changes won’t affect their plans until coverage renews in the weeks or months that follow. Here are the highlights:

_ Adult children up to age 26 will be able to receive dependent coverage with all individual and group policies.

_ Lifetime limits on the dollar value of insurance coverage will be prohibited. This refers to how much your insurance coverage pays out to cover claims.

_ Restrictions will be placed on annual limits for coverage, a practice that will prohibited in 2014.

_ Insurers will be prohibited from rescinding or canceling coverage except in cases where the customer commits fraud.

_ Insurers will not be able to exclude children from coverage because of a pre-existing condition, but they can require parents to sign up kids only during a fixed annual enrollment period to ensure they don’t wait until a child gets sick to buy coverage.

_ Insurers will be required to provide preventive care like immunizations or mammograms without charging co-pays or other forms of cost sharing. Some may not have to comply with this element if their coverage existed March 23 and has not changed substantially.

Individual plans that have so-called “grandfathered status” like this also will not have to immediately follow the new restrictions on annual coverage limits or eliminate their lifetime caps. Over time, most plans will lose their grandfathered status as they make changes in benefit designs.

FINAL NOTE: Those who think this is socialism need to get an education and let multi-billionaires like the Koch Brothers and their propaganda machine, “Americans for Prosperity” stop stuffing their heads with hate and misinformation about legislation that the Democrats are trying to pass which amount to little more than capitalist crumbs from an almost Wall Street Business as Usual Administration.

Conservatives who yammer about the mandate are hypocrites.  The only reason they do this is so they can tear down and dismiss the few crumbs.  If the Republicans really opposed that part of the Obama Administration’s mandate, they would be screaming about the fact that our government makes us buy automobile insurance .  We’ve been required to do that for years.  That is no different from mandating Americans to purchase health care insurance.  BOTH are frauds on the American people.  We should have another choice for all kinds of insurance–public options.  And we would too, if Wall Street insurance companies did not have Congress in their hip pockets.

When various posts are yammering on about special interests, they never mention Party as a special interest, but the fact is that BOTH the Democrat and the Republican parties represent the special interests of Wall Street.

This is not true of the progressive arm of the Democratic Party, however it is true of the current Clinton/Obama administration as well as all of the Republicans.  Most of these people are multimillionaires who vote to protect their own personal stock portfolios.

The Cinton/Obama Administration are corporate centrists and there is not enough daylight between them and a Republican to make any difference.  Only fools like Glenn Beck and those who believe his clap trap are dumb enough to not see this.

Even progressive Democrats who sign up under the party ticket are like those who sign up under the Republican ticket as well as those who are sponsored by right-wing multibillionaires who sponsor the Tea Party–all are signing up to represent rich special interests–not mainstream America.

The Republicans and the Corporate Centrist Democrats BOTH stack the deck in favor of the rich.

IT’S OK WITH BOTH GROUPS IF THERE IS A TRANSFER OF WEALTH–AS LONG AS IT CONTINUES TO BE FROM THE POOR TO THE RICH.  BUT JUST LET ANYONE SUGGEST OTHERWISE AND LISTEN TO THESE GREEDY CREEPS SQUAWK.

Credit cards do more than drain money from your wallet — they may actually create an “implicit money transfer” from the poor to the rich, according to a new study from the Boston Federal Reserve.

The study, titled “Who Gains and Who Loses from Credit Card Payments? Theory and Calibrations”, suggests that, as card use becomes more frequent, merchants have raised their prices to compensate for card-processing charges. (Hat tip to the WSJ)

As a result, the study suggests, the poor — who usually lack access to reward-paying credit cards — end up paying more for everyday goods.
