Breitbart Prosecutor taking Office next week. WRITE TO HIM.
Sign the Letter to Maryland State’s Attorney Gregg Bernstein to indict Andrew Breitbart, James O’Keefe and Hannah Giles!

PUT THESE WALL STREET PIMPS BEHIND BARS!
Last month Tom Delay was convicted by a Texas jury for conspiracy and money laundering for funneling money to GOP races through his political committee. He is facing a sentence of up to life in prison at his sentencing in January. Last week Velvet Revolution sent a letter to the sentencing judge urging him to impose a long prison term not only to punish Delay for a decades long career of unethical and illegal conduct but also to send a strong message to others such as Karl Rove and Tome Donohue, that illegally using corporate money to manipulate elections will not just result in a slap on the wrist.
Next week Baltimore State’s Attorney General will be sworn into office and members of the Velvet Revolution will meet with him to deliver thousands of signature on a letter requesting that he make a top priority of indicting Andrew Breitbart, James O’Keefe and Hanna Giles for illegally recording conversations of two Baltimore ACORN employees. If you have not signed their letter, please do so here. I will let you know how the meeting goes.

QUEEN’S ADDITIONAL COMMENTS ON THE VIGILANTE MODE OF THE MILLIONAIRE HOUSE AND SENATE
By the way, while you are at it, check out your congressperson’s vote on the bill to defund ACORN and if they voted to defund ACORN on this trumped up evidence by right-wing operatives,write to them and demand that they apologize to ACORN for jumping the gun and defunding ACORN on the flimsy evidence of a known right-wing operative like James O’Keefe.
Most of the the Senate and the House should be ashamed of themselves for this vote. ONLY 7 SENATORS STOOD UP TO THE TRAVESTY OF DEFUNDING ACORN–A GROUP WHOSE ONLY CRIME WAS TO EMPOWER THE POOR BY REGISTERING THEM TO VOTE.
In the House, the Representatives voted 345 to 75 to defund ACORN.
The nay votes in the Senate ran strictly down party lines. The 7 negative votes cast against Senate Amendment 2355 to H.R. 3288, which would have prohibited the use of funds to fund ACORN, were cast by 6 Democrats and 1 Independent. No Republicans voted against the Amendment. Those voting nay on this Amendment were:
Burris (D) from Illinois;
Casey (D) from Pennsylvania;
Durbin (D) from Illinois;
Gillibrand (D) from New York;
Leahy (D) from Vermont;
Sanders (I) from Vermont; and
Whitehouse (D) from Rhode Island.
WAKE UP FOLKS AND START REGISTERING PEOPLE TO VOTE YOURSELF! The millionaires in the Senate and House don’t want the majority represented.

QUEEN’S NOTE ON RECENT VICTORY FOR ACORN
The Washington Examiner reports that:
“Last Thursday [Dec 23] was a confusing day at the House Financial Services Committee. The committee was preparing to vote on legislation to create a new Consumer Financial Protection Agency when a fight erupted over ACORN, the community organizing group that was defunded by Congress after videos surfaced showing ACORN workers involved in a variety of corrupt practices.
Although the proposed Consumer Financial Protection Agency — designed to deal with issues like mortgages and credit-card fees — has nothing to do with community organizing, Democrats offered an amendment that could allow ACORN and groups like it to participate in the new agency. Republicans offered an amendment of their own, designed to stop the Democratic one. An argument ensued. It was complicated, with lots of different proposals and a good bit of misunderstanding. But when the dust settled, Democrats had outmaneuvered Republicans, and the new bill they approved could allow organizations like ACORN to play a role in the highest levels of the new consumer protection agency.”
